Substations: the specification
What we take
Indoor and outdoor unit substations complete with primary incoming section, transformer and secondary switchgear; outdoor station equipment including power transformers, oil and vacuum circuit breakers, air switches, disconnects, CTs and PTs, lightning arresters, relay houses, steel structures, rigid bus and control cable.
What sets the number
Whether the substation can move as a working system or has to be broken into components. A unit substation of a supported generation, complete and with documentation, is worth far more whole than in pieces. Voltage class, transformer kVA and winding metal set the floor. Structure steel, copper bus and control cable add to it.
How we get it out
Substation decommissioning is planned work. We walk the site, coordinate the utility disconnect with you, drain and manifest oil, cut and remove bus and structures, break the concrete free where needed and load on lowboys. See our substation decommissioning page for the full sequence.
