Universal City, TX Industrial Electrical Equipment Purchase and Removal
When a line-up in Universal City comes out, the equipment stops being an asset on a depreciation schedule and becomes a rigging problem with a disposal cost attached. We buy that problem outright. Switchgear, transformers, generators, substations, panelboards, breakers, motor control centers and copper cable — and the teardown, rigging and freight are ours, not a subcontractor you have never met.

Buying electrical equipment in Universal City
Coverage in Universal City is run off our Texas routing along I-35, I-45, I-10, I-20 and I-30. Coordination with Oncor, CenterPoint Energy, AEP Texas, Austin Energy, CPS Energy on clearances, metering removal and final disconnect is part of the scope, not a change order. Texas is our largest market: Gulf Coast petrochemical turnarounds, ERCOT generation retirements, oilfield electrification and Dallas and Austin construction all move medium-voltage switchgear, transformers and generators constantly.
If the Universal City equipment is still carrying load, we phase it. Usually that means dead sections and spares first, then distribution as circuits are released, then the main line-up once the last feeder is isolated. The phasing goes into the offer so nobody is improvising in an energized room at two in the morning.

What drives the number
Copper is the floor under most of this equipment, and it is a floor that moves. Bus bar, windings and feeder cable set a minimum value we can always pay on a Universal City lot; resale demand for the specific make and model is what lifts the offer above it. Obsolete breakers and discontinued panelboard interiors are the clearest example — unglamorous parts that plants cannot buy new anywhere.

Compliance
Safety and documentation
Nothing leaves a Universal City site undocumented. Nameplate data is recorded as equipment comes out, regulated items like transformer oil and older capacitors are separated under their own profile, and you receive a reconciled report your EHS group can file against the original purchase agreement.
Paper you receive
Certificate of insurance before we mobilize, a written itemized offer, a signed bill of sale, and load documentation for every trailer. If your compliance team needs something specific, ask before we schedule.

Common questions
Universal City questions
Do you provide documentation for surplus property or audit records?
Yes. Itemized purchase agreements, weight tickets, bills of lading, oil disposal manifests and recycling documentation are standard on Universal City purchases. Public agencies and audited facilities get the paperwork their process requires without having to ask twice.
Do you actually buy electrical equipment in Universal City, or just broker it?
We buy it. Texas Electrical Equipment Buyers is the purchaser of record — we fund the purchase, send our own crews to Universal City to disconnect and load, and take title when the equipment leaves your dock. There is no third party behind us waiting to approve the price.
What is the smallest job you will take in Universal City?
A single transformer, one switchgear section, a pallet of breakers or a few boxes of breakers is worth a call. Because we route crews across Texas continuously, small Universal City pickups usually get added to an existing run rather than priced as a dedicated trip.
How fast can you get to a Universal City site?
Written offers go out the same business day in nearly every case. After acceptance, typical mobilization to Universal City is a few business days for a straightforward removal and one to two weeks for a full plant scope that needs phasing, rigging plans or utility coordination.
Do we have to disconnect the equipment before you arrive?
No. We handle removal. Your electrician or the utility performs the final isolation and we verify it; from there our crews lock out, cut and cap cable at the gland, unbolt the sections, skate them out and load them. If the Universal City room is still partly live we phase the work.
How do you handle transformer oil in Universal City?
Oil is tested, drained and manifested through licensed handlers, and you receive the documentation with your paperwork. PCB-suspect units go under a separate waste profile. Nothing is left on your pad in Universal City and nothing gets dumped — the handling cost is already in the offer.
